A 26-year-old driver from Portland has been issued an OUI (Operating While Under The Influence) after she tried to drive her vehicle down a flight of stairs.
The incident occurred on April 30th inside the parking garage of the Portland Maine Police Department.
Authorities say the woman drove her vehicle across the pedestrian plaza and then tried to drive down the stairs to a street below.
When authorities spoke to the woman, she told them she was just following her GPS.
Despite the excuse, authorities realized that the woman’s excessive blood alcohol level may have had something to do with her attempt.
She has since been issued an OUI and is required to pay for a small amount of property damage.
