Dog the Bounty Hunter is pulling out of the hunt for Gabby Petito’s missing fiancé, according to his daughter. Duane Chapman is returning home to Colorado after allegedly injuring his ankle.
Dog has been searching a Florida nature reserve for 23-year-old Brian Laundrie. Laundrie is a person of interest in the murder of his girlfriend Gabby Petito.
Dog’s team, however, will continue searching a Florida nature reserve for 23-year-old Brian Laundrie.

Laundrie’s parents told police their son had gone hiking in the 24-thousand acre, alligator-infested Carlton Reserve nearly month ago.
That’s around the time 22-year-old Gabby Petito’s body was found near Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. She and Laundrie had been on a cross-country van trip most of the summer.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reported Chapman is not licensed as a bounty hunter or private investigator.
In 1976, Chapman was involved in a drug deal gone wrong when his accomplice shot and killed a man. He was convicted of first-degree murder so he’s unable to obtain proper licensing.
However, Chapman’s publicist says that doesn’t mean he could not legally capture Laundrie.
“As there is a warrant issued, “any citizen who sees [Laundrie] can detain him and turn him over,” says Jennifer Willingham. “There are also licensed people working with Dog and also off-duty police. He’s covered to apprehend multiple ways.” If Chapman finds Laundrie, he can detain the man until authorities arrive. For now, Dog is no longer chasing Laundrie’s tail.
