SUNRISE, FL– Divers in Sunrise have rescued a driver from a canal after a vehicle was discovered submerged early Friday morning.
Authorities say they received word about a vehicle crash around 10:30 a.m. in the 1600 block of Northwest 60th Avenue.
Witnesses reported that the driver crashed into a tree and a fence before driving into the canal.
Sunrise police reported that the driver may have suffered a medical episode.
No other details were immediately released.
