Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is reacting to what could be seen as an endorsement from Elon Musk. He posted on Twitter that he was leaning toward voting for DeSantis for president in 2024.

Speaking yesterday, the Republican DeSantis said he is focused on 2022, but in regards to the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, he would “welcome support from African Americans.”

Musk is a native of South Africa.  DeSantis has not said he will be making a White House bid.
Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist, who are running for the Democratic nomination for Florida governor, reacted while they were at a candidate’s forum in Palm Beach County yesterday when Musk made is apparent endorsement of DeSantis.

According to the Sun Sentinel, Fried called DeSantis’ response about Musk’s African American support an “asinine comment,” and, Crist said, ‘oy vey.’
