Musk is a native of South Africa. DeSantis has not said he will be making a White House bid.
Nikki Fried and Charlie Crist, who are running for the Democratic nomination for Florida governor, reacted while they were at a candidate’s forum in Palm Beach County yesterday when Musk made is apparent endorsement of DeSantis.
According to the Sun Sentinel, Fried called DeSantis’ response about Musk’s African American support an “asinine comment,” and, Crist said, ‘oy vey.’
