Authorities in Delray are reporting that they are currently attempting to defuse a situation involving a man firing his gun inside of the Kings Point community.

The SWAT team was called to the retirement community Monday afternoon due to the report of a man firing a gun from inside of his house on Normandy Lane.

Deputies are reporting that they have made contact with the man and that they believe he is alone in the house.

Authorities are asking residents to remain inside their homes and to avoid the area as they attempt to secure the situation.
