Authorities in Delray Beach say they are investigating the death of a woman who was found inside of a burning abandoned home as a homicide.

53-year-old Stacey Passick was located by Delray Beach Fire Rescue on Monday as they responded to a structure fire at 26 S.W. 4th ave around 6:16 am.

Passick’s body was then transported to a medical examiner where her death was then ruled a homicide.

Officials say Passick was homeless but was known in the area as she often hung out between Atlantic Avenue near Interstate 95.
