(PALM BEACH COUNTY, Florida)– A car crash claimed the lives of two people and injured another Monday night near the Boynton Beach area.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on Old Boynton Beach Boulevard near Calliandra Drive just after 11 p.m.

The victims of the crash were Charles Schuchman, 63, Lucas Pierre, 18, and a 19-year-old passenger who hasn’t been named.

After the incident, Pierre, a west Boynton Beach resident, and the unnamed 19-year-old passenger in his vehicle were taken to Delray Medical Center where Pierre would pass away from his injuries.

According to Palm Beach Fire and Rescue, Schuchman was dead on the scene.

The 19-year-old passenger was found to have minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
