An FHP trooper is lucky to be alive this morning after a “near miss” along I-95 in Palm Beach County.
A silver pickup truck had just been involved in a three-vehicle, chain-reaction crash.
The momentum of that crash caused the driver of the truck to veer off the road to the right and smash into the vehicle the trooper was assisting along I-95 and Hypoluxo Road Thursday afternoon.
The trooper and the other driver, who were outside of their vehicles, jumped out of the way of the careening pickup.
The driver of the pickup was not at fault.
The driver who caused the crash fled and fortunately no one was injured, including the trooper.
