The Met Gala is coming under fire for being “out of touch” with last night’s “Gilded Glamor and White Tie,” event.

The soiree paid homage to the 19th Century’s Gilded Age, when prosperity was marred by poverty. Some critics called it an especially bad look in the midst of record inflation.
The highlight of the night was when Kim Kardashian showed up in the same iconic dress Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang Happy Birthday to President Kennedy.  She had to lose 16-pounds in three weeks to fit into the dress that had to be sewn on Monroe in the 1960’s.

And Billionaire Elon Musk attended with his super-model mom, Maye Musk who wore Dior.
