Good news for seniors who shop at Costco! The retail giant has decided to not to fully cancel it’s seniors only hours after all.

The program was set to end at Costco on July 26th, however, the store decided to keep it going a few days a week.

In a statement to USA Today, Richard Galanti, Costco’s chief financial officer, said senior hours would take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays “until further notice.”

Costco members who are 60 and up will still be able to shop at their stores from 9 am -10 a.m. without interference from the outside public on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Members with disabilities or who are immunocompromised will also be able to shop during those times.

Seniors hours were first implement during height of the COVID-19 pandemic to help protect the most vulnerable population as they shopped or ran everyday errands.

Since the vaccine has become available, many stores have decided to go back to regular business hours.
