Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas is currently conducting a cause of death investigation after a construction worker found a dead body on the interstate.
The discovery was made on Tuesday around 3:00 p.m. on Interstate 10, west of Hamshire Road.
A construction worker was preparing to do work in the area when he noticed a deceased person in between the concrete barriers on the roadway.
Not much is known about the situation at this time, however, authorities did report that the body appears to have been there for an extended period of time.
Officials have ordered an autopsy on the body and are continuing to investigate the incident.
