Standup comedian Dave Chappelle says he is ‘fully cooperating’ with Los Angeles police after he was tackled during a show at the Hollywood Bowl on Monday.
Chappelle was on stage as part of the ‘Netflix is a Joke’ festival when 23 year old Isaiah Lee of Los Angeles rushed the stage carrying a replica handgun with a knife inside of it.
He was knocked over by Lee and moments later the man was tackled by actor Jamie Foxx who was watching Chappelle’s show from the wings.
Lee was apparently injured while being subdued by security and was shown being loaded into an ambulance with facial injuries.

Chappelle was not injured in the attack.
Comedian Chris Rock, who was in attendance, later appeared on stage and asked the crowd “was that Will Smith?” a reference to the Oscar winner slapping him over a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith at the Academy Awards last month.
The show continued without incident, though no motive for Lee’s attack has been established.
