The West Palm Beach Police Department is currently investigating the death of a 21-year-old college student who was found shot to death in his apartment.

Derek Becker who attended Keiser University, was found dead just after midnight on Sunday in his apartment along Community Drive.

No other information was released about the case.

Those who knew Becker describe him as a  stand out baseball player from Albany, New York.

He played for Iona College before transferring to Keiser to play for the NAIA.
