CNN’s Chris Cuomo makes fun of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) praising his own response to the pandemic in May now that Florida has recorded nearly 10,000 new daily cases of coronavirus in June.

Despite the massive uptick in COVID-19 infections, Governor DeSantis maintains that the state “isn’t going to stop or pause reopening.”

The Republican governor told reporters yesterday that he doesn’t think people going to businesses is what’s driving the surge, but rather young people and their social interactions.

DeSantis said the Sunshine State knows who needs to be protected and that young people are less at risk of serious complications.
So far, more than 150-thousand cases have been confirmed in Florida with more than 3500.
