The popular pizza and food buffet Cici’s has filed for bankruptcy.

The Chapter 11 filing was made on Monday stating that the company was filing due to the “unpredictable and unprecedented scale” of the coronavirus pandemic which has severely hindered it’s customer based income.

Cici’s largely relied on it’s indoor dinning where for one price, customers had access to an unlimited variety of pizza, soups, and dessert options.

Due to the coronavirus, however, the chain was forced to cut down on the amount of customers allowed in it’s establishment at one time in addition to other provisions.

The Texas based company is now operating 300 locations in 26 states and is said to have between $500 million to $100 million in liabilities.

While many other establishments switched to delivery and provided at home dining options, Cici’s was unable to do so.
