Authorities in Miramar are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the parents of a 2 or 3-year-old boy who was found wandering alone in a neighborhood. According to reports, the child was located near Southwest 68th Avenue and 18th Street on Sunday morning. A witness saw the boy wandering the streets, picked him up and called the police. Miramar Police along with Pembroke Pines Police went door-to-door in an effort to identify the child, his parents, or anyone who recognizes the child, however, they did not have any luck. As of Monday evening, the child remains in the custody of the Department of Children and Families. Officials say they have yet to identify the child nor has anyone come forward to claim him, however , they are now going through several tips they have received after posting the child’s photo.
(2/2) donate diapers or welcome him into your home. We sincerely appreciate all offers. He is currently being cared for by a foster parent and has been provided with the necessary items. The best assistance provided has been sharing his pic & helping us receive tips. Thank you! pic.twitter.com/3JFQhPBAU5
