CEO: “Parler May Never Return”

The CEO of Parler says the social media platform may never return after being shut down by Amazon.
On Saturday, Amazon Web Services suspended Parler over dozens of posts it claimed “encourage or incite violence.”
Parler CEO John Matze spoke with Reuters yesterday and said he’s not sure if Parler will ever return.
After the interview was published, Matze added he was optimistic Parler would eventually return, though it may take weeks.
And today Matze is taking his fight for survival to the courts.
Parler will urge a federal judge in Seattle to order Amazon to resume hosting the social media network on its servers.
Parler called it a “death blow” when Amazon suspended the site following the January 6th riot at the Capitol and accused Amazon of acting with “political animus.”
Amazon said Parler violated the terms of service by failing to curtail threatening and violent content, like inciting the assassination of public officials.
