The most recent extension of the ban on evictions from the CDC is set to expire July 31st.
And extending the moratorium is not possible because the Supreme Court ruled that the CDC does not have the authority to extend it.
Justices on the nation’s highest court recently upheld the ban, but also said the CDC exceeded its authority.
The justices said the eviction moratorium will end Saturday and will not be extended again unless Congress acts.
You actually think all of these unemployed prefer $300 over an actual job? Some industries simply don’t have jobs coming back & benefit was ending in Sept. anyway. Eviction moritorium ends, get ready for economic disaster. If you think you’re “safe” cause you have job, just wait!

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki cited the speed of the Delta variant as a reason for the ban to be extended.
