Casey Anthony breaks silence tonight in new documentary “Where The Truth Lies”

(850 WFTL) – Casey Anthony is ready to speak out after being acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter.

Anthony, now 36, will speak out on Casey Anthony: Where The Truth Lies, a three-part limited series premiering Nov. 29 on Peacock.

This will be Anthony’s first on-camera interview since gaining international fame in 2008 after the disappearance of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee. Officials say Caylee’s remains were found in a wooded area near the family home following a six month search for the toddler.

Casey Anthony was charged with murder. Her trial was watched by at least 40 million people, according to Nielsen Research.

Anthony was acquitted of murder and manslaughter charges on July 5, 2011. However, she was convicted of four counts of lying to police, and served time in prison.

In the documentary Anthony was given no creative control of the project and there were no guidelines to what questions could be asked, according to Peacock.

A close source to Anthony says agreed to do the interview because she is ready to talk to “finally set the record straight.”

Anthony has only spoken out about the case in an off-camera interview given to the Associated Press in 2017. In the interview, Anthony said  “I don’t give a s— about what anyone thinks about me, I never will,” she told the outlet. “Based off what was in the media, I understand the reasons people feel about me. I understand why people have the opinions that they do.”

“I didn’t do what I was accused of, but I fought for three years,” she continued. “Not just for me, but for my daughter.”

Anthony made headlines in the media after being seen hanging out at local bars, and most recently for getting into a bar fight at O’Shea’s Irish Pub in West Palm Beach in May 2021.

Now, Anthony lives in South Florida, and attempts to avoid the spotlight.
