Bus driver rescues cold toddler wandering streets alone

On December 22, Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) driver Irena Ivic spotted a young boy, wearing only a red onesie and no shoes, running down a sidewalk at around 8 a.m.

Surveillance video from the bus shows a visual of the boy before Ivic sprung into action to rescue the child.

She brought him on the bus while a passenger provided a coat to keep the child warm.

Emergency workers were called to the scene to retrieve the boy who fell asleep in Ivic’s arms.

According to reports, the boy’s mother suffers from mental health issues.
