In an effort to curb the rising number of coronavirus cases, officials in Broward County have issued an 11 p.m. curfew.
County Administrator Bertha Henry issued the 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. curfew Friday stating that the curfew will go in to effect tonight.
Under the curfew gatherings of ten or more people are no longer allowed and those visiting gyms must wear face mask or face coverings through out their visit.
Those who are exempt from the curfew include: active duty police, fire rescue, and first responders. News media, delivery and transportation and delivery drivers, medical personnel, utility personnel, government employees, and those traveling to and from work are also exempt.
The curfew is set to remain in place until August 1st.
