Knitting is not an Olympic sport, but a British gold-medal athlete found it calming and says knitting a “jumper” helped to relieve the “stress” caused by the games.

It has been a big Olympics for Tom Daley, the 27-year-old British athlete who has captured the world’s imagination with his soaring, twisting, gravity-defying dives which earned him a gold medal – and his truly sensational knitting! Daly showed off his completed sweater, along with a separate, cute pouch for his gold medal.
