
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Dwayne Haskins was killed in Broward County on Saturday morning after attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 near Davie at around 7 AM
Haskins was struck and killed by an oncoming dump truck and was pronounced dead at the scene by Florida Highway Patrol.
He was 24 years old.
The Highland Park, NJ native played for Ohio State before being drafted by Washington in 2019.
He was apparently in South Florida to train with other teammates and the Pittsburgh Steelers released the following statement:

It is not clear why Haskins was attempting to cross the busy interstate.
