Boulder Police identify alleged shooting suspect: 21-year-old Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa

Boulder Police Chief Maris Harold identified the alleged gunman in Monday’s supermarket massacre as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa 21, of Arvada, about 20 miles south of Boulder.

Alissa is accused of shooting up the Boulder King Soopers grocery store Monday and has been charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder, police in the Colorado city said Tuesday.
She also identified the 10 slain victims, who range in age from 20 to 65, saying the last body was removed from the scene at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Their names are:

Denny Strong, 20
Neven Stanisic, 23
Rikki Olds, 25
Tralona Bartkowiak, 49
Suzanne Fountain, 59
Teri Leiker, 51
Eric Talley, 51 (officer)
Kevin Mahoney, 61
Lynn Murray, 62
Jody Waters, 65
Chief Herold said the shooting had left her feeling “numb”.

Rikki Olds was a King Soopers employee.

“I want to say to the community, I am so sorry this incident happened,” the chief said with tears in her eyes, “and we are going to do everything in our power to make sure this suspect has a thorough trial and we do a thorough investigation.”
