THURSDAY 5:45 P.M. UPDATE: One person has been detained after a “possible immigrant landing” in Palm Beach, town police said. Town authorities sent out an alert shortly after 5 a.m. Thursday warning of police activity at 2345 South Ocean Blvd., which is the Palm Beach Par-3 Golf Course. A town police spokesperson said one person was detained and turned over to Border Patrol authorities. Officials are still searching for as many as five others who may have come ashore. The vessel was gone by the time authorities arrived at the scene, said police spokesperson Michael Ogrodnick. Authorities are asking anyone who notices suspicious activity to contact authorities. ————————————————————– ORIGINAL STORY: Breaking right now, Multiple police units along with customs and border patrol are responding to 2345 South Ocean Blvd. near the President’s home of Mar-a-Lago due to a “possible immigrant landing.” They warn of possible lanes blocked on the island at Ocean Blvd between Lake Ave (SR-802) and Southern Blvd / Mar-a-Lago as reported by palm beach county fire rescue. Their country of origin is not known at this time.
