Authorities in St. Lucie County are currently asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman who was found dead on the side of the road.
Officials say the body was discovered in November along Sneed Road around 10 miles West of the Okeechobee Road entrance to the Florida Turnpike.
Despite their best efforts, authorities have yet to identify the woman or find her next of kin.
“When our deputies arrived, they found a body lying on the side of the road,” said Chief Deputy Brian W. Hester. ” The body was already in a severe state of decomposition.”
The woman has been described as being between the ages of 40 and 60 years old. She is said to be about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 with a thin build. She is also said to weigh between 80 and 100 pounds and has partially gray and brown hair.
Authorities also said the woman had “a small flower on her right forearm, a flower on the top of her right shoulder and a Chinese symbol on her left upper arm,” Hester said.
