MARTIN COUNTY, FL–
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man’s body was found in Hurricane Ian flood waters in a residential neighborhood.
The victim was discovered face-down in about 10 inches of flood water along Southwest Lost River Road, near Palm City.
The Sheriff’s office has identified the victim as 34-year-old Cody Dudek of Lantana and reported that he had been working on a home and clearing some debris around 7:45 a.m. when he was found.
A spokesperson for the Sheriff’s office reported that there were no signs of electrocution or visible signs of trauma on his body.
They are also unsure if Dudek’s death was weather related.
An autopsy has been scheduled.
