Pompano Beach, FL– The Broward County Sheriff’s Office has launched a homicide investigation after a body was discovered inside of a burning car.
The discovery was made around 6:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Northwest 32nd Court in Pompano Beach.
According to the report, Pompano Beach Fire Rescue officials were dispatched to the area due to a vehicle fire. Once officials were able to extinguish the fire, they noticed the body inside and contacted the state fire marshal’s office.
Authorities believe the fire was purposely set after finding a red gas container near the vehicle.
