Authorities in Big Pine Key are reporting that a woman’s body was found Monday afternoon.

The discovery was made by a man who was walking his dog off of Wilder Road around 1:00 p.m.

Officials have identified the victim as 56-year-old Theresa-Dawn Bright of Big Pine Key and reported that died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Foul play is not expected to be a factor in the incident.

Autopsy results are still pending.
