(POMPANO BEACH, FL)– Officials with Florida Highway Patrol are investigating after a man’s body was found floating in a canal near the Turnpike in Broward County Tuesday.
The discovery was made by a fiber-optic worker around 8:35 a.m. on the north side of the roadway near Coconut Creek Parkway.
Investigators described the victim as a “white” male and say that the body has been in the canal for at least two days.
It is unclear if foul play is suspected or if the victim died of natural causes.
No other details have been made public at this time.
