President-elect Joe Biden blamed serious frog in his throat and bouts of coughing during his post-Electoral Vote speech on a “bit of a cold.”
The bothersome congestion and constant throat-clearing sparked concern among viewers.

The former vice president addressed the nation after electors confirmed that he had won the elector vote, but he was forced to cough and clear his throat multiple times just to get through the speech.

“Biden keeps coughing and clearing his throat. Is he ok?,” one viewer took to Twitter, echoing the concern of many.

Others were concerned the president-elect might need another COVID-19 test.

Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have been routinely tested for coronavirus and the results have been negative.

The president-elect was last tested on Friday.
