The Biden administration says it’s safe for federal workers to return to the office and to take off that mask.
The White House says President Biden wants to lead by example in making the case that most Americans can safely return to the workplace especially federal workers.
Biden plans to speed up their return to the office.
And it’s mask off Monday.
Congress is ending its mask mandate as lawmakers return today.
That means covering up will be optional for President Biden’s State of the Union address tomorrow.
But those attending must still be tested for COVID. The change comes as D.C.’s mandate just ended.
It also follows guidance from the CDC, which now says 70-percent of the nation can stop wearing masks.
New data shows coronavirus cases are down 90% from six weeks ago.
