Authorities offer $5,000 for information regarding victim’s stabbing death

Broward Crime Stoppers  is offering a $5,000 reward for information regarding the fatal stabbing of a 57-year-old homeless man.

According to the report, Jimmy Hutto was stabbed sometime before 2:30 a.m. last week as he slept in front of Dixie Market on 3942 W. Davie Blvd.

Surveillance video shows a hooded man stab Hutto before leaving the scene.

Officials say they do not have a motive behind the stabbing.

According to family members of the deceased, the father of six struggled with homelessness, he did not bother anyone.

The family also said that Hutto was renting a room nearby but choose to sleep in front of the store that night because the air condition was not working.
