The Oak Ridge Police Department in Tennessee, are reporting that they are closer to solving a missing person’s case after pulling a vehicle from a lake.

The vehicle was discovered by divers inside of Melton Hill Lake on Wednesday.

Authorities say the vehicle is linked to Miriam Ruth Hemphill, who was in her 80’s when she went missing in July 2005. Her husband, who was the last person to see her alive, told authorities that she had plans to go to Blount or Sevier counties before she disappeared.

Officials say “there is no confirmation of a body being in the vehicle,” however, they hope to get inside of the vehicle by Thursday.
