The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office is reporting that they have made an arrest in the shooting death of a victim in Royal Palm Beach over the weekend.

Authorities say they responded to a call about a shooting on Lakeview Drive East in Royal Palm Beach Saturday afternoon.

When they arrived to the scene, they found the unnamed victim suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Deputies say the victim later died at the hospital.

After an investigation into the shooting, authorities were able to identify Joseph Hamilton as the shooter.

He was taken into custody Tuesday and charged with first-degree murder.

No other details were available about the shooting.
