Police in Fort Pierce are reporting that they have arrested a 17-year-old who reportedly shot a man who was complaining about slow service at a smoothie establishment.
According to the report, on Sept. 13th, the 39-year-old victim went to Tropical Smoothie Cafe and ordered a smoothie that the cafe no longer provides. Despite no longer selling the smoothie, employees of the establishment tried to appease the customer by attempting to recreate the smoothie. The customer then began complaining about how long it was taking to make the smoothie. That’s when another customer shot the victim in the face and fled the scene.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where authorities say the victim is in good condition and is expected to make a full recovery.
Investigators then searched the community and a neighboring community and were eventually able to locate the suspect identified as Antonio Brown.
Brown was taken to a juvenile Detention center where he was charged with first-degree murder.
