New Iberia, LA– Authorities are investigating after an Arby’s employee was found dead in a walk-in freezer at one of its restaurants.
The discovery was made Thursday at one of the restaurants in New Iberia.
The victim, only identified as a female employee, was discovered by another employee who walked into the freezer.
While authorities do not believe foul play is a factor at this point, they did call the death suspicious:
“A situation like this is unusual, so we’re taking extra precautions during the investigation,” New Iberia Police Capt. Leland Laseter told KADN.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the woman’s cause of death.
The investigation remained active on Friday.
