American Airlines has announced that it will now be verifying the health status of customers entering the United States by using “health passports.”
The airline, which is the first to do so, says that it will be using an app called VeriFLY to confirm that COVID testing, vaccinations, and other COVID travel requirements are being met for international customers looking to enter the U.S.
According to the COVILD policy, passengers aged 2 and over traveling to the United States from any international location must test negative for COVID-19 within three days of departure and verify their status through the app.
The airlines says that VeriFLY will not only help customers understand and verify their travel requirements, but it will also help optimize their trips.
Passengers began using the app on January 23rd of this year.
