(INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Florida)– There are extreme traffic delays, on southbound I-95, and Indian River county after a vehicle crash injured an 18-year-old driver on Tuesday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the wreck occurred just after 11:30 a.m. near mile marker 158, and the vehicle landed on the southbound side of the interstate.

A medical helicopter landed on the scene, blocking off the southbound lanes of I-95, and allowing emergency medical crews to evacuate the injured passengers.

The driver of the vehicle was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries
and the cause of the crash has not been released.
