The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that their K9 team helped bring in an inmate who escaped from an Alabama jail.
48-year-old Danny Peyton was captured in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on Thursday.
Authorities reported that Peyton fled from a job detail on Sunday in Coffee, Alabama.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office their K9 Team and K9 officer Lulu tracked the inmate to a wooded area off of Old Landfill Road.
According to records, Peyton was arrested in April 2021 and was held on burglary, bond revocation and theft of property charges.
