Markie Post, the actress known for her roles in Night Court, The Fall Guy, Hearts a Fire and more died following a brave battle with cancer.
Post’s manager, Ellen Lubin Sanitsky, confirmed the actress died in statement to Fox News on Sunday.
“With great sadness, the family of actress Markie Post tonight shares her passing after a three year, ten month battle with cancer,” her family said in a statement to NBC News.
She was 70.
Her family said that Post continued to work despite her cancer diagnosis, acting in Lifetime Christmas movie and a recurring guest star on the ABC series “The Kids Are Alright.”
Marjorie Armstrong Post was an American actress, known for her roles as bail bondswoman Terri Michaels in The Fall Guy on ABC from 1982 to 1985, as public defender Christine Sullivan on the NBC sitcom Night Court from 1984 to 1992, and as Georgie Anne Lahti Hartman on the CBS sitcom Hearts Afire from 1992 to 1995.
Post is survived by her husband, writer Michael A. Ross; daughters, actress Kate Armstrong Ross and Daisy Schoenborn.
