Sheila Keen Warren, the woman accused of dressing up in a clown suit and shooting her romantic rival to death 30 years ago wants out of jail on house arrest while she awaits her murder trial in April.

Keen Warren’s lawyers cited lack of evidence yet, she’s been behind bars for three years. In 2017 cold case detectives used new DNA evidence to charge her with the murder of Marlene Warren who was shot in the face on her Wellington doorstep by someone dressed as a clown carrying balloons.

Detectives tested hair fibers found inside a wig discarded in a getaway car for DNA and  the testimony of two costume store staffers to bring down the alleged killer clown who police believe shot dead her husband’s first wife.

Sheila Keen Warren, 54, was arrested in September 2017 without incident on a charge of first-degree murder with use of a firearm in the 1990 killing of Marlene Warren, 40, – the suspect’s husband’s first wife – in Washington County, Virginia.
