(LANCASTER, CA)– Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34.

The pop singer was discovered dead in a bathtub at a home in Lancaster, California on Saturday.

Authorities say they were called to the home around 11:00 a.m. about a victim who reportedly drowned in a bathtub.

Investigators say there are no signs of foul play, however, homicide detectives have been dispatched to the scene to investigate.

Aaron Carter, the brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter, shot to fame in the 1990s with a self-titled album featuring the single “I Want Candy.”

The album was said to have sold over a million copies. Carter released another album “Aaron’s Party,” shortly after which more than doubled in sales.

He was also featured regularly on Nickelodeon.

As he grew older he transitioned into a rap career.

Aaron was known to battle substance abuse issues over the years and has had numerous stints in rehab.

He is survived by his son Prince.
