JUPITER ISLAND, FL- 9 migrants from Cuba came ashore near Hobe Sound on Saturday morning according the U.S. Border Patrol.

Officials say the migrants were part of a human smuggling operation and all 9 have been taken into custody.

Hundreds of migrants from the Caribbean and South America have attempted to make the journey to America of late with 10 coming ashore in Delray earlier this month and a dozen from Haiti landing on Palm Beach in June.
