An 87 year old man was killed in the early morning hours of Monday when he was hit by a driver in the 150 block of SW 16th St. in Belle Glade.

Palm Beach Sheriff’s investigators say the crash happened at around 2:30 AM in the northbound lanes and the driver did not stop after striking the man.

The make and model of the vehicle is unknown but PBSO believes it was a maroon colored truck that would have significant front end damage from the collision.

The name of the victim has not been released.
