(West Palm Beach, FL) — Florida inspectors shut down a Pizza Mambo in West Palm Beach after making a bizarre discovery.
An 80 pound dead iguana inside a separate freezer given to the owner as a gift.
Employees threw out the carcass after being notified of the violation.
Aside from the frozen iguana, the restaurant was also hit with 26 other violations including some for rodent droppings, dead roaches and moldy food.
The pizzeria’s license expired last year.
By the way, iguanas are good eating and are affectionately called “chicken of the trees.”
