An 8-year-old Lauderhill boy was transported to an area hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by his older brother.
The incident occurred Friday morning at a home along the 1100 block of North State Road 7.
Authorities say the 8-year-old and his 10-year-old brother were involved in a heated altercation when the 10-year-old picked up a knife and threw it.
The 8-year-old was struck by the knife.
The mother, who was in the home at the time, contacted the police.
The child was taken to an area hospital where he is expected to be O.K.
It is unclear where the child was injured.
