PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL– The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a 71-year-old man has died after he suffered a medical episode while driving and crashed his car.
The crash occurred Monday morning on Palmetto Park Road just past the Lyons Road intersection.
Authorities say the unidentified man was driving a 2022 Ram 1500 eastbound on Palmetto Park Road
Witnesses say they noticed a 2022 Ram 1500 that was traveling eastbound on Palmetto Park Road start to slow before it veered to the right and hit a guard rail.
The vehicle sustained minimal damage but the driver was discovered unresponsive in the vehicle when fire rescue personnel arrived.
He was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
