TAMPA, FL — Tampa police officers have arrested a 42-year-old man after seven people were found unconscious outside of a convenience store.
Police were called to Jackson Meat Market near the intersection of 34th Street North and Osborne Avenue just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
When officials arrived, they found six of the seven people unconscious and struggling to breathe.
One of the seven told authorities that they had a bad reaction to a substance they had taken.
All of the victims were taken to area hospitals where they are said to be doing better.
Authorities also reported that they were able to track down the person who sold the group the drugs.
Albert Wyche was taken into custody and charged with the delivery of a controlled substance.
Officials say the drugs were mixed with Fentanyl and Xylazine, a drug commonly used in veterinary medicine as a sedative.
