60-year-old Port St. Lucie woman killed in crash on I-95

A devastating crash closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach for a few hours this morning.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports a 60-year-old Port St. Lucie woman was driving north of the 45th Street exit, when her car broke down in the middle of I-95.

The driver of the pickup truck traveling behind the woman’s car but couldn’t stop in enough time and the vehicle slammed into the back of the woman’s car.

The woman in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck a 48-year-old man only had minor injuries.

Northbound was diverted off the 45th Street exit during the crash investigation.
